Mail Merge: how to create and Save or Send Multiple Individual and Personalized Messages from a Draft
the latest version: Version 6.1.0 for Thunderbird 68: Mail Merge is fully compatible with Thunderbird 68. Please make sure to use version 6.1.0.

Mail Merge is fully compatible with Thunderbird 60. Please make sure to use version 5.6.0.
features: Create and Save or Send Multiple Individual and Personalized Messages from a Draft
If you want to send a message to multiple recipients, there are a few common problems:

1) When you add the recipients in the To field, the recipients will see each other.
(You can work around this problem by adding the recipients in the Bcc field.)

2) Most email providers limit the number of recipients in the To / Cc / Bcc field.
(You can work around this problem by creating multiple messages.)

3) You cannot personalize the message. (You cannot work around this problem.)
You can work around some of these problems, but especially the last problem cannot be solved without creating individual messages.
Of course there are third party services, that help you to send newsletters; but you have to trust them.
Mail Merge solves these problems by creating individual messages for each recipient from a draft message
- locally on your computer without the need to trust third party services!

vgl. https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/th ... ail-merge/

GMAIL-option:
How to send mass email with Gmail
Open a new Google Doc and write your email.
Open a Google Sheet (spreadsheet)
Click on Add-ons and then Get add-ons.
Search for Yet Another Mail Merge and download it for free:
Back on the spreadsheet, select Add-ons > Yet Another Mail Merge > Start Mail Merge.
Welches System verwendet ihr:

a. Thunderbird in Verbindung mit Mailmerge
b. Mailchimp
c. Outlook
d. Google-Mail ggf. mit einem Plugin

https://www.libreoffice-forum.de/viewto ... =2&t=25255

https://addons.thunderbird.net/de/thund ... ail-merge/

by the way: you can run mailmerge with the support of excel / calc - based adressdata.
https://support.office.com/en-us/articl ... 948fa3d7d3
here are some tips to prepare your Excel spreadsheet for a mail merge. Make sure:

Column names in your spreadsheet match the field names you want to insert in your mail merge. For example, to address readers by their first name in your document, you'll need separate columns for first and last names.
All data to be merged is present in the first sheet of your spreadsheet.
Data entries with percentages, currencies, and postal codes are correctly formatted in the spreadsheet so that Word can properly read their values. The Excel spreadsheet to be used in the mail merge is stored on your local machine.
Changes or additions to your spreadsheet are completed before it's connected to your mail merge document in Word.

Step by Step: (Address Book)
Screenshots: Draft Message | Draft Message | Draft Message | Mail Merge Dialog | Preview Message Dialog
Create a New Message ("File -> New -> Message")
Add the Recipients to To or add the Variable(s) to To, e.g.: {{PrimaryEmail}} or {{FirstName}} {{LastName}} <{{PrimaryEmail}}>
Add other Recipients to Cc (optional) (variables are supported)
Add other Recipients to Bcc (optional) (variables are supported)
Add the Subject (variables are supported)
Add the Body (variables are supported)
Add (global) Attachments (optional)
Click "File -> Mail Merge"
Select "Address Book" and check "Deliver Mode"
Add (individual) Attachments (optional) (variables are supported)
Check "Start", "Stop" and "Pause" (optional)
Click "OK"

hier reviews - hier uservotes
https://addons.thunderbird.net/de/thund ... e/reviews/
- Quick to setup and does what it should do perfectly!
- An absolutely essential part of my Thunderbird installation. Straightforward to use, and extremely effective.
- Not fancy, but very flexible for customizing fields. Using the CSV option saved me hours of work. Would like to see the email preview in other than HTML though.
- I would love to be able to use variables to insert files directly into the email body.
- Very useful plugin. We use it to send customized conference mail.
- One of the best Add-ons in Thunderbird. I wish I had it also for Mail app from Apple.
see more https://addons.thunderbird.net/de/thund ... ail-merge/[/quote]

Was bitte schön, soll den "effektives Mail versenden" bedeuten?
