Hallo qwertz456,

Versuch macht klug.

Mit unsicheren Grüßen

I posted this on the English OpenOffice site, but whilst searching for answers I noticed that there were those doing the same in Germany, so this is what I came up with (sorry it's in English - but my written German stinks) :

'I came across ' .~lock.Filename.odt#' files when I was copying to my USB stick and found no answer for them on the web, well nothing that explained them or made any difference.

It is my belief, that they are created during an incorrect shut down of Open Office. Be this as it may, I then opened the folder where these documents were and then opened the actual document and saw that the ' .~lock.Filename.odt#' file of the same name vanished when I closed the actual document again. I had moved one of the actual documents to another folder, here the ' .~lock.Filename.odt#' file didn't vanish until I moved it to the same folder as the actual document.

I how this will be of some help to the 'searching souls' out there'
